I specialise in student-centric English instruction for intermediate and advanced learners, tailoring my lessons to the needs of individual students.

I am a scholar of languages and linguistics, and have five years’ experience teaching all levels of English across university and language centre settings. My specialties include intermediate-advanced English, academic English, and PTE exam preparation. Whatever your English goals, I am determined to help you accomplish them.

What makes my approach different is my attention to the finer details of language production. I begin with a comprehensive diagnostic to identify your strengths and weaknesses, then design lessons around your goals that target specific skills such as parallel structure, pronunciation, and managing run-on sentences. These skills are often overlooked in standard English programs, yet they are essential for both everyday communication and success in examinations.

Originally from Canada, I have spent much of my adult life in Australia, where I’ve cultivated my love for teaching English in diverse cultural settings. As a native speaker, I am passionate about English as a global language that connects people across borders. My most rewarding moments as a teacher come when students not only reach their goals but also discover their own voice and confidence in English.
